Complexity: Works on issues of known scope. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as advisor to employees and customers to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements.
Supervision: Manages and coordinates the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results. In some instances may be responsible for a functional area and not have any subordinate employees.
Interaction: Frequently interacts with team leads and peer supervisors. As needed, interacts with customers and functional managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company. Sometimes leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team.



Responsibilities:

1. Maintain security standards and frameworks to enable the business
2. Monitor and investigate security alerting
3. Provide security feedback to product teams
4. Conduct security assessments of corporate and production infrastructure
5. Provide security improvements and standardization implementation assistance
6. Deliver training and guidance to company employees
7. Document proposals, presentations, drawings and related technical materials

Skills Required:

Knowledge

• Knowledge of security and best practices
• Understanding of governance – ISO, SSAE, PCI, SOX etc.
• Experience with networking, windows and linux platforms
• Experience with security testing tools and capabilities – Nessus, Nikto, Burpsuite, Qualys etc.
• Understanding of vulnerability and penetration testing
• Understanding of perimeter, web and application security
• SIEM knowledge and experience

• Understands business and financial fundamentals (cost/benefit, ROI calculations, NPV etc.)
• Analytical and problem solving skills 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Ability to provide unbiased feedback to the business
• Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
