Job Description

We are currently seeking an HR Generalist to join our team, supporting our North American (US and Canada) HR Business Partners and HR Leadership team.  You’ll be busy and you will learn a ton as we are a fast-paced environment, as acquisitions are a key aspect of our growth strategy, but you’ll also have a chance to work with some great people and have some fun while you’re doing it!

This role is a combination of administrative and operational tasks, so you need to be able to do both well.  You’ll need to be agile and quick to adapt to change, as acquisitions are a key aspect of our growth strategy.

You’ll be based out of our head office in Alpharetta, Georgia but work with team members in the U.S. and Canada and be part of a larger global HR team committed to providing a consistent employee experience across the many countries we do business in. 

So what will you be spending your time doing?

  • Provide operational and administrative support to our team in the US and Canada on broad range of tasks throughout the lifecycle of an employee (onboarding, promotion, performance management, employee engagement, merit, termination) as well as acquisition support.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation, handle employee inquiries, recommending solutions and escalating appropriately.
  • Review employment contracts to ensure compliance with application employment standards for the regions you support.
  • Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all HR employee data and make sure we have up-to-date documentation for all our employees.
  • Review policies to ensure we are in compliance with required employment legislation in the regions/countries you support. Make recommendations/updates as required.   
  • Conduct exit interviews and complete final entitlement paperwork.
  • Support onboarding new hires and continually seek out ways to enhance a positive and consistent onboarding experience.
  • Organize, Schedule and serve as back-up presenter for New Hire Orientations
  • Responsible for HR data tracking and reporting (not limited to vacation balances, employee referrals, milestone adjustments, EEO-1, OSHA’s Form 300, misc HR reports and any additional compliance reporting as required by state or federal regulations)
  • Serve as primary contact for all employment verifications
  • You may also be required to support other functions of HR as required (HRIS, Compensation, Benefits).
  • Actively contribute to projects and initiatives to continuously improve the efficiency and capacity of the HR team in North America.

 

 





Skills/Requirements

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES:

  • Post-secondary education or certification in Human Resources is preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience in a similar role.  Preference will be given to those candidates who have both US and Canadian HR experience.
  • General knowledge of all areas of Human Resources.
  • Has a proven track record of working well independently with little supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Able to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to handle issues in a professional, tactful and confidential manner.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines, work under pressure and deal with ongoing change and interruption during your day.
