Job Description:

The Principal, Sales Enablement Trainer is a key position that directly helps ensure the effectiveness and competitiveness of the Aptean Account Management and Sales teams. The primary role of this position is to provide an engaging and results driven training curriculum to increase speed to productivity and provide continuous learning in our sales organization. The Principal, Sales Enablement Trainer will be responsible for bringing sales methodologies to life and driving for consistent practices and hands on learning to new and existing sales and account management personnel.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develop deep understanding of sales organization’s procedures, practices, processes, systems, technology, and culture to incorporate into training initiatives.
  2. Create, deliver, reinforce, and sustain ongoing training programs and curriculum (classroom, online, or informal) to provide continual growth and development opportunities for sales teams at all experience levels.
  3. Facilitate applied learning relating to professional, value-based selling skills as well as our sales process and methodology
  4. Manage, maintain and continuously improve employee on-boarding training programs
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify operational efficiencies and incorporate those into the training curriculum
  6. Continuously measure relevance and effectiveness of training and evolve programs as necessary.
  7.  Prioritize coaching and performance management efforts to have the greatest overall impact on the business
  8. Work closely with leadership to identify training needs, establish training strategies and execute training programs impacting results related to business growth and agent engagement.
  9. Partner with sales leadership and HR to maintain a sales competency and assessment framework to ensure individual sales representatives and first line sales manager’s training needs are met.
  10. Utilize adult learning principles that best fits the needs of the audience and content (online, classroom, conference, meeting, workshops or blended learning methods)




Skills/Requirements

Education

Bachelor's Degree Required

Work Experience

Typically requires a minimum of 8-10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 6 years' experience; or equivalent experience. Typical range is 10-13 years. Experience in a software sales or sales support role preferred. CRM application experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and deliver sales training programs utilizing skills in instructional design and program design & development
  • Familiar with sales specific training programs, consultative sales preferred (i.e. SPIN Selling, Challenger Sales Model).
  • Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem resolution, communication, presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills
  • Ability to identify appropriate learning solutions based upon organizational needs and within organizational constraints
  • Demonstrated application of Adult Learning and Development concepts
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strategic planner who can communicate well with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Virtual team leader with collaborative and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.
