Job Description

St. John's Episcopal Hospital is recruiting for an Office Manager for the Finance Office and Business Office at the Bethpage location.

You will have the flexibility to implement new procedures and systems to improve the smooth running of the office. This is an autonomous role and you need to be comfortable being independent and making decisions. This position will suit you if you have good interpersonal and presentation skills, and office management experience. You need to be self-directed and have organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that departments have proper supplies on hand in order to be able to function properly
  • Sort and distribute both interoffice and external mail. This will require trips to the post office to send outgoing mail. Apply postage to outgoing mail using postage machine.
  • Help to prepare and organize presentations to be made to leadership
  • Take minutes for various board and committee meetings. (This will require some travel to offsite board meetings)
  • Help maintain schedules for department leadership
  • Assist in preparing and distributing monthly financial reports to department heads
  • Notarize documents as needed
  • Filing as needed




Skills/Requirements

Skills/Requirements:

 

  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Associates  Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an office setting.
  • Current driver’s license/car for travel.
  • Current notary preferred; will provide access to training needed to obtain license if needed
