Job Description:

The Marketing Associate (Events) will assist with the management and execution of major Aptean customer events/user groups, Aptean’s attendance/sponsorship of third-party events and tradeshows, webinars and major internal company events. Major activities include assisting with planning, promotion, execution, branding and material development and reporting. This position will work directly for the Senior Marketing Specialist (Events) and will work closely with other marketing team members, executives, product teams and sales to understand the goals/objectives of our event programs. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with the planning and execution of event/webinar marketing programs and related activities to ensure that these meet organizational goals and expectations.
  2. Develop and coordinate new idea reviews and recommendations, concept and design development, project management and execution.
  3. Stay well-informed on event marketing trends and emerging technologies to incorporate into the strategy for optimizing the company’s marketing investment.
  4. Assist with the management of third party vendors (including venues, contractors, and merchandise providers) where appropriate.
  5. Execute campaigns in line with budget and demonstrate positive ROI in line with agreed targets.

 





Skills/Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Preferred, Certified Meeting Planner (or equivalent) preferred.

Work Experience  

Up to 5 years of related experience marketing B2B enterprise software solutions is preferred, but recent college graduates will be considered with a Bachelor’s degree.

Knowledge

Strong understanding of the event marketing principles and execution.

Skills and Abilities

  • Creative thinker and understanding of positioning the right message to the right audience.
  • Ability to collaborate with senior management and peers across multiple organizations, geographic regions and/or cultures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of marketing objectives and strategies within a B2B environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products
  • Strong analytical problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong desire to undertake ongoing professional study and training.
