Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Information Services,
Manages daily operations of corporate information processing. Coordinates service and maintenance of Snowbird's Corporate WAN, including backup and recovery of systems.  

Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility
1.    Workflow Management: Plan, assign, direct, coordinate, review work orders for each staff member. Prioritize work assignments. Ensure highest possible I.S. staff productivity and customer service. Manage Helpdesk.
2.    System and Network Management: Conduct capacity planning, recommend hardware, software updates and/or enhancements, establish and enforce security and antivirus measures, ensure all critical system data is backed up routinely, administer and troubleshoot system and network as necessary.  
3.    Administration: Attend meetings, maintain system documentation, hire, train, mentor/coach and schedule I.S. technicians, specify and recommend computer products for purchase, perform periodic performance appraisals, support I.S. staff, advocate for I.S. staff resource needs.
4.    Training and Development: Attend training and product/vendor seminars, maintain certifications, recommend training needs for I.S. staff.
5.    Travel: Occasional trips to Salt Lake Valley.

1.    Occasional contact with guests.
2.    Direct and continuous contact with co-workers, management and other departments.
3.    Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.

Education & Experience Requirements
-  High School Diploma or equivalent required.
-  College degree in related field preferred.  Additional related work experience may be substituted for education.
-  3-5 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.

Specific Requirements:
-  Must be at least 21 years of age.
-  Must be able to ski or snowboard and have the ability to pass a physical capacity screening.
-  Valid Driver License w/ clean MVR (driving record)

-Microsoft Windows operating systems and applications - Active Directory, Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2008 thru 2016, Exchange 2013, WSUS and Office 2007 thru 2016

-HP Networking switches and Cisco Routers
-Cisco ASA Series Firewall with Firepower
-EMC and Exagrid storage systems
-Avaya VoIP Phone System

Administrative:    
Requires prioritizing and allocating resources and manpower to meet computer or telecommunications demands. Involves, scheduling coordinating and solving personnel problems (employment, retention, discipline, promotion). Requires significant input into major decisions affecting the policies and procedures in the Information Services Department.


Working Conditions
Work Schedule:
-  Shifts vary, may be early morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels.      
Mental:
-  Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
-  May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
Physical:
-  Must be able to lift 25+ lbs.
-  Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
-  Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
-  Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.
