SJEH is recruitting for a Certified Anesthesia Technician. This position is an 1199 Position. Full Time, excellent benefits. The position reports to the Chairman of Anesthesia. The CAT will assist the clinical anesthesia staff in the management of the departments clinical and technical functions by assuring proper supplies are available, that equipment is functioning properly, and all reusable equipment is properly cleaned and/or sterilized.

Responsibilities include by are not limit to:

Cleans, calibrates, and troubleshoots all of anesthesia's tools

Performs proper departmental cleaning procedure for each type of equipment before bringing to CSP for sterlization.

Uses proper cleaning solution for each task per department guidelines.

Maintains inventory of all general anesthesia supplies including all I.V solutions to determine need for replenishment

Orders any necessary items from Materials Management and Pharmacy by completing appropriate order forms with all necessary information

Checks all items received from Materials Management and Pharmacy against order forms for accuracy; reports and discrepancies to the OR Manger

High School Diploma or GED equivalent required

Successful completion of the examination requirements established by the ASATT for Anesthesia Technician certification

Minimum of two years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician is require

Current BLS certification

Continuing education requirements for certification as required by ASATT
