The Senior Director, Global Demand Generation is responsible for campaign and program planning and budget management, lead generation, marketing program execution, program evaluation and measurement. The role spans all offline and digital channels across all targets, including existing customers and new prospects. S/he will play a key role in either owning or supporting development of marketing programs that can be customized or regionalized, as appropriate, on a global basis. This person will work closely with marketing operations to ensure the effectiveness of marketing processes and systems, and will work with Product Marketing, Field Marketing globally, and all of the Marketing organization as needed to drive qualified opportunities.

In addition, the Senior Director, Global Demand Generation will assess the demand generation marketing capabilities of acquired companies and prepare inclusive integration plan – working closely with other marketing team members on final execution.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 

Campaign and Program Strategy, Planning & Budgeting

  • Work closely with Executive and Product teams to understand the strategy/plan/roadmaps for the product lines globally, as well as identify repeatable and reusable programs/tactics/deliverables for the region.
  • Works closely with the regional organization, especially with sales and, where appropriate, channel partners.
  • Develop the strategy/plan for lead generation, marketing deliverables and marketing programs to support the financial/sales goals of product line(s) in close collaboration with the sales team and the corporate marketing team.
  • Align and manage budget and resources to support the plan using vendor, budget and project management skillset.

 Lead Generation and Program Execution

  • Coordinate and deliver all content and deliverables across all lead generation program types, including digital marketing, search engine marketing, event marketing, telemarketing, direct mail marketing, e-mail marketing, etc.
  • Stay well-informed on marketing trends and emerging technologies, especially internet marketing and lead generation, to incorporate into the strategy for optimizing the company’s marketing investment.
  • Direct internal and external marketing resources by managing projects with third party vendors and internal marketing specialists.
  • Interface with sales and sales development to roll out and launch lead generation programs for follow-up and reporting.
  • Where appropriate work with channel partners to support co-marketing activities in support of regional go to market priorities and goals.
  • Manage online/offline marketing projects from initial design and requirements through to delivery.
  • Develop and write content and collateral for marketing campaigns.

Program Evaluation and Measurement

  • Analyze and report on marketing metrics and program effectiveness via weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as agreed with CMO.

Staff Management

  • Set SMART objectives for subordinate regional team members that reflect the regional marketing priorities and review progress and achievement in line with Aptean HR procedures in a timely manner.
  • Act as mentor and identify career development aspirations and opportunities for their team members





Skills/Requirements

Education:

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred

Work Experience: (Indicate the approximate years of relevant work experience necessary for this position)

Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree. Typical range of experience is 10-15 years.

Knowledge:

  • Familiar with B2B sales and marketing techniques and/or previous work experience in the software/IT sector. ERP/SCM/CRM experience is a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the Regional requirements, varying by country.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written, other languages a plus.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally, as well as work non-traditional hours to accommodate multiple time zones.
  • Familiar with AP/journalistic style and marketing communications writing styles for multiple mediums.
  • Strong knowledge of internet marketing tools and strategies.
  • Proficiency in Marketo or other marketing automation platforms.
  • Familiar with CRM based sales and marketing reporting preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to drive projects within a cross-functional team and work well under deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, time management and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to respond quickly to changing demands and market conditions.
  • Commitment to teamwork and ability to operate in an international matrix management environment.
  •  Problem solver and results oriented.
  • Leadership experience and well as being remotely managed and managing remotely.
