This role will be responsible for planning, delivering and overseeing IT activities within the region and supporting the extended global IT team.

This person will be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive business relationships throughout the region, consistently adding value back to the business by leveraging their knowledge and experience to provide new ideas and recommendations in the use of information technology that bring added value to the Aptean business units. 

 

Scope

Scope: Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).

Complexity: Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements; may have budget responsibilities.

Supervision: Manages, perhaps through subordinate team leads, the coordination of the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing. In some instances this manager may be responsible for a functional area and not have any subordinate employees.

 Interaction: Frequently interacts with subordinate team leads, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company. Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Manage the various IT teams to ensure all IT services operate efficiently and reliably both locally and around the globe
  2. Meet with the business community to understand business processes and gather requirements
  3. Work collaboratively across global groups and teams, both internal and external to the IT group, to effectively accomplish shared goals.
  4. Create/collaborate on high-level designs and develops solutions to meet the architectural and operational needs of the business
  5. Responsible for creating and maintaining Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between the business and IT
  6. Establish an IT culture and attitude that is proactive and raises the confidence level of the user community.
  7. Responsible for creating a team culture among the local and global IT team
  8. Ensure ongoing development of existing staff
  9.  Manage IT-relevant vendors, negotiate pricing and plan hardware and software deployments

 





Skills/Requirements
 
 

Work Experience

 

Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 7 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years' experience; or equivalent experience. Typical range of experience is 10-13 years.

 

Knowledge

·         5+ years of experience leading cross-functional technology teams to deliver or support scalable, high performance enterprise solutions 

·         2+ years managing, mentoring, motivating and growing a mature and goal-driven technology team

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and experience supporting global IT operations and infrastructure solutions
  • Proven ability to mentor team members, delegate tasks and initiatives to them and care for the professional growth
  • Excellent customer engagement and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively across all levels from individual contributors to C-level executives
  • Excellent knowledge of incident, problem, change management processes and tools
