This is an entry level position which requires professional qualifications. The Associate Engineer, Development will be responsible to complete assigned tasks like coding, development testing, fixing bugs, etc. using standard concepts and principles under close monitoring. The Associate Engineer, Development is expected to learn on the job towards developing domain and product knowledge along with technical/proprietary skills.

 

Scope

Knowledge: Learns to use professional concepts. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.

Complexity: Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analysing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Builds stable working relationships internally.

Supervision: Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for completing the assigned tasks – coding, development testing, etc.
  2. Closely guided and mentored by a senior member of the team. 
  3. Learn test automation frameworks used and be capable of working in a continuous delivery environment
  4. Able to identify and resolve customer issues and bugs. Performs Unit testing.
  5. Understands Agile methodology and Software Development Lifecycle (design, coding, testing, maintenance). 
  6. Acquires product and required Technical knowledge to contribute to product development.
  7. As a developer in an Agile team, needs to make sure that the team succeeds. So if there is a need to help out the QA or the Documentation activity, be open for that.
  8. Understands the concept of ‘done” and takes full responsibility to deliver bug free code to the next phase.




Skills/Requirements

Education

 

No Bachelor's degree required

 

Work Experience

 

Typically requires no previous professional experience. Typical range of experience is 0-2 years.

 

 

 

Knowledge

 

Theoretical Knowledge of Software Engineering/Computer Science, Data Structures, Software Development Life Cycle, Programming basics, preferably worked on one of any coding language like C#/Java, Good programming and problem solving aptitude.

 

 

 

Skills and Abilities

 

Excellent Spoken and Written Communication skills, Fluency in English, Problem Solving aptitude, Good Team Player.
