Financial Reporting - Senior Accountant

Summary

The Financial Reporting - Senior Accountant will be located in Alpharetta, GA in the headquarters office. This role will report directly to the Director, Financial Reporting and is primarily responsible for assisting in preparing all external financial reporting requirements and preparing corporate entries.

Description of Essential Duties:

·  Assist in the preparation and presentation of external financial statements, including footnotes.

·  Prepare certain corporate entries relating to debt, goodwill, intangibles, stock compensation, and commissions, intercompany research. 

·  Assist in preparation of management reporting & other analysis as required.

·  Respond to information requests from government agencies.

·  Provide audit support (consolidation schedules and supporting working papers, development of information for footnotes, impairment testing, etc.)

·  Research technical accounting issues to ensure proper accounting under US GAAP.

·  Assist in coordination of accounting policies & processes (related to external financial statements

·  Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations.  Assist in analyzing and communicating potential impacts.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·  Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance

·  Must have CPA professional accounting designation

·  Four or more years of relevant experience in a technology company and/or audit firm, with at least some experience in a public accounting firm preferred

·  Experience with the Big Four accounting firms preferred – will be communicating w/ auditors

·  Experience in analyzing, auditing and/or compiling financial information for financial statements

·  Strong technical accounting experience 

·  Solid oral and written communication skills including business writing skills

·  Robust working knowledge of Excel and other business software

·  Proven analytical and problem solving skills
