Job Description

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for assisting the North America Finance Director in providing deal support to the sales team in order to maximize revenue, minimize risk and ensure deals are appropriately accounted for.  The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for working with the business to collect receivables and driving revenue results for the region.

  • Review and approve sales deals monthly to ensure deals are properly accounted for under US GAAP.
  • Approve deal quotes with non-standard terms.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation for global bookings to revenue.
  • Initiate and analyze quarterly sales certification summary.
  • Work with the business to decrease DSO.
  • Partner with the COE on approving customer credits, refunds, and dunning letters.




Skills/Requirements

Education

Bachelor's Degree Required

Masters Degree and/or CPA certification preferred

Work Experience

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 4 years and a Master’s degree. Typical range is 4-7 years.

Knowledge

  • Prior experience with software revenue recognition, preferred
  • Prior experience working with sales team and operations, preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred

Skills and Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must be detail oriented, as well as able to understand the bigger picture
  • Must be able to work in a team environment

Must be able to work in fast-paced, ever changing environment
