Job Description

The Team Lead, Revenue will be part of the Acquisition Integration Finance Team based in our Alpharetta, GA Office and will report directly into the Director, Mergers and Acquisitions.

The Team Lead, Revenue will be responsible for ensuring that acquired company revenue is properly recorded and balance sheet reconciliations are performed and reviewed.  Intermediate revenue recognition will be part of the process.  They will be a part of the Acquisition Integration Finance Team and will be responsible for managing an accountant and contractor, when needed.  

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for acquired company revenue processes
  • Corroborates with Sales team on acquired product SKUs
  • Manages and prepares invoicing process for acquired company contracts
  • Oversees the acquired AR and bank reconciliations
  • Lead for the acquired company deferred revenue balances, conforming them to our process and recognition standards
  • Responsible for recognizing and escalating basic revenue recognition issues
  • Review processes in order to implement changes that will result in a more efficient and effective process
  • Perform monthly review of relevant balance sheet reconciliations.  Ensure any reconciling items are addressed timely
  • Ensure monthly close deadlines are met
  • Manage team members to ensure accurate and timely results are delivered
  • Provide training and supervision to assigned team; provide both informal and formal feedback for direct reports
  • Responsible for all items relating to the team including but not limited to people, performance, HR, vacation approvals, etc.




Skills/Requirements

Education

Bachelors Degree required

Masters Degree preferred

Work Experience (Indicate the approximate years of relevant work experience necessary for this position)

Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Fluency in English required
  • Strong communication skills are essential
  • Ability to operate on own initiative
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word Processing required
  • Travel may be required
  • The candidate will need to be self-motivated
  • Strong leadership and management skills required.  Previous experience building a team is a plus
  • Attention to detail is highly important and a structured methodical approach is necessary
  • Successful candidates must have the maturity and ability to work on own initiative in a fast paced environment while maintaining quality of work and effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
