The Associate Manager role is responsible for motivating team members to consistently achieve team goals. This role is intended to be the first stepping stone towards a management career. This role plays an important part in maintaining customer relationships through maintaining contact and building a rapport.
Scope
Scope: Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provides guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies, establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s).
Complexity: Works on issues of known scope. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements.
Supervision: Manages and coordinates the activities of a section or department with responsibility for results. In some instances this manager may be responsible for a functional area and not have any subordinate employees.
Interaction: Frequently interacts with team leads and peer supervisors. As needed, interacts with customers and functional managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company. Sometimes leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team.
