The Senior Manager, Global Revenue oversees the revenue and commissions processes for multiple revenue streams across the Company, ensuring revenue and commissions are recognized and deferred in accordance with US GAAP and the Company’s accounting policies.

 

The role is located in the Company’s headquarters in Alpharetta, GA.





Skills/Requirements

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the revenue and commissions processes for multiple revenue streams ( ensuring revenue and commissions are recognized and deferred in accordance with US GAAP and the Company’s accounting policies.
  • Provide oversight to day-to-day accounting and operations of order-to-cash and revenue cycle, from invoicing and collections to revenue recognition issues, deal review, and analysis.
  • Own detailed review and oversight of accrued commissions and deferred commissions
  • Oversee the Company’s quarterly BESP / VSOE analysis and related scalable accounting process and reconciliations.
  • Act as a mentor to billing/revenue team, ensuring their career growth and development
  • Collaborate proactively with the sales organization, sales operations team and legal department to ensure revenue transactions are recorded in accordance with Company’s revenue recognition policy.
  • Create audit-ready memos for significant and non-standard sales contracts and lead external auditors in connection with revenue related audit procedures.
  • Develop, maintain and update internal controls documentation for revenue recognition.

Education

Bachelor's Degree is required

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ overall experience, with at least 3 years in a “Big 4” accounting firm and the remainder in a revenue supervisor/manager role at a company with multiple, complex revenue streams
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • “Big 4” accounting firm experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong understanding and experience dealing with regulatory requirements and Big 4 auditors on software, services and multiple element revenue arrangements as per ASC 985-605, ASC 605-25 and upcoming ASC 606, as well as other relevant authoritative literature.
  • Ability to read contracts/agreements and identify pertinent terms and issues to provide appropriate, practical, scalable accounting guidance and issue resolution to business managers.
  • Experience in environments with high transaction volume required, preferably with experience building/scaling a high growth revenue organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; must be comfortable connecting with and communicating with individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to assess, develop and implement internal controls over the quote-to-cash process.
  • Strong listening and comprehending skills, as well as the ability to develop and clearly articulate a perspective.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookup formulas required.
  • Enthusiastic, positive and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to understand the “big picture” and strategically develop systems, processes and procedures.
  • Excellent technical accounting, quantitative analysis and writing skills.
  • Possesses a cross-functionally collaborative mindset with a focus on the company’s agreed upon goals.
