Summary

This is an entry level position which requires professional qualifications. The Associate Engineer, Development will be responsible to complete assigned tasks like coding, development testing, fixing bugs, etc. using standard concepts and principles under close monitoring. The Associate Engineer, Development is expected to learn on the job towards developing domain and product knowledge along with technical/proprietary skills.

 

Scope

Knowledge: Learns to use professional concepts. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.

Complexity: Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analysing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Builds stable working relationships internally.

Supervision: Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Identify and resolve customer issues, implement enhancements and new features.
  2. Participate in standup, sprint retrospectives, feature design, sprint planning and ad hoc collaboration sessions.
  3. Take personal ownership for work items and support others in meeting sprint goals.
  4. Consistently apply coding standards; seeking to improve the code and product quality.
  5. Apply design, coding and testing practices that include emergent design, refactoring, unit testing, joint code ownership, pair programing and continuous integration.
  6. Develops realistic estimates for assigned tasks, working within estimates without sacrificing quality.
  7. Adhere, advocate and advance agile practices through collaboration within the team.

 





Skills/Requirements

Education

Bachelors degree required

 

Work Experience

Typically requires no previous professional experience. Typical range of experience is 0-2 years.

 

Knowledge

Theoretical Knowledge of Software Engineering/Computer Science, Data Structures, Software Development Life Cycle, Programming basics, understanding of ASP.NET MVC framework, preferably worked on one of any coding language like C#/JaveScript, Good programming and problem solving aptitude.

 

Skills and Abilities

Excellent Spoken and Written Communication skills, Fluency in English, Problem Solving aptitude, Good Team Player.
