Summary

This position offers the opportunity to work in a challenging environment that combines Business and Information Technology. The resource will gain experience working in a highly integrated environment that utilizes both cloud and on-premise based applications. The role will offer a variety of activities focused mainly on data analysis and data migration.

Scope

Knowledge: Learns to use professional concepts. Applies acquisition policies and procedures, and database standards to data migration processes.

Complexity: Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analysing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Builds stable working relationships internally.

Supervision: Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assist acquired companies with the extraction of data.
  2. Work with the acquisition team to validate extracted data.
  3. Help identify and correct data issues.
  4. Develop and execute SSIS data import scripts
  5. Validate imported data and troubleshoot any data issues.
  6. Enhance data validation scripts and processes
  7. Assist with audit, data validation, and clean-up of internal business systems databases.

 





Skills/Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, or Computer Science

 

Work Experience

0-2 years.  Internship or summer experience in a professional environment preferred.

 

Knowledge

·         In depth knowledge of databases and SQL.  Specifically MS SQL Server.

·         Familiarity with MS SQL Server Integration Services

·         Familiarity with SalesForce application

·         Strong oral and written communication skills

·         Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

 

 

Skills and Abilities

·         Excellent organizational skills

·         Ability to multitask in a fast paced, dynamic environment

·         Detail oriented

·         Strong Excel skills including VB
