JOB IDENTIFICATION FUNCTION:

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst who will help us discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data, and help facilitate smarter decisions. Primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis and help in identifying trends and telling stories with data, performing trend analysis. The candidate will synthesize methodology and data into actionable business strategy and communicate findings to management. Use statistical and trends on large data structure to measure results and show key trends and predict future performance. Write and interpret complex SQL queries for standard as well as ad-hoc queries. The candidate will be go-to person for any data related questions.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with stakeholders to understand their business problems, translate those problems into data problem, and then provide insight or specific recommendations back to the business based on those results
• Create and automate reports, visualize and provide insights on the same. Should also perform quality check on the results and highlight inconsistencies
• Work on ad hoc analysis to provide insights and recommendations to the business
• Build reports on Excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau or R tool Articulate reports and analysis to stake holders and drill down into data to answer on any queries
• Design complex and simple reports and automate it as much as possible Be quick in reporting any discrepancies in the data or reports Deliver reports and analysis within timelines and provide recommendations on process improvements
• Aggregate views of data sources into meaningful hierarchies Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Should understand business problems and translate to analytical problems
• A combination of problem solving skills, analytical skills and sound knowledge of statistical techniques /methods, Database querying, data handling, ETL is must Advanced Microsoft Excel and SQL skills.
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings Hands-on knowledge of database mining, list segmentation and/or predictive modelling would be an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Should be able to liaise with top management.
