Job Description

Pay $12.25/hr DOE   

Under the direction of Central Cash Manager
Counts incoming cash receipts and deposits all receipts into appropriate bank accounts. Reconciles envelopes to ensure accuracy. Summarizes and deposits all types of credit card transactions.

Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility
1.    Verify and deposit hotel cash and checks daily from the four different hotels.
2.    Break down and rebuild daily start banks from all locations on the mountain including Tickets and Banquets.
3.    Verify ticket deposits.
4.    Strap money.
5.    Responsible for Center and Cliff ATMs.
6.    Balance the main vault three times a day to the penny.
7.    Travel: None

Interactions
1.    Occasional contact with guests.
2.    Direct and continuous contact with co-workers, management and other departments.
3.    Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.

Education & Experience Requirements
-  High School Diploma or equivalent required.
-  0-6 months of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.

Specific Requirements:
-  Must be at least 18 years of age.
 

Skills & Knowledge
Technical:    
Ten-key and computer proficiency required.  Requires the operation of basic office equipment, telephone, fax machine, etc.
Ability to handle, process, maintain and protect guest personal information, including credit card information, in compliance with all company or department policies and procedures according to PCI rules and requirements. This includes privacy and confidentiality, reporting, storage and disposal of sensitive information.  Will not share or disclose any guest personal or financial information to anyone unless authorized by the guest, manager or company or unless disclosure is permitted within departmental policies and procedures.

Administrative:    
Knowledge and understanding of PCI DSS, including the safe and secure handling and maintenance of personal, financial and credit card information of guest/customers.
Requires low-level problem solving and/or initiation of activities within the position. Activities initiated are done so within clearly defined parameters set by policy or management. Decides when envelopes are over or under and when to report discrepancies to Supervisor.

Working Conditions
Work Schedule:
-  Specific Shift: 6:00am to 4:00pm any day of the week. Typically will work a 4 day schedule.
Mental:
- Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
-  May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
Physical:
-  Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
-  Work is routine in pleasant, comfortable surroundings.  General office conditions prevail.  
-  Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.
- Other/Additional:  Must be able to stand or sit behind a four-foot high teller counter. Job stress may be created by the responsibility of handling extremely large amounts of cash.
