Job Description

Under the direction of  the  Store Manager, manages  the daily operations of  souvenir shop and an accessories and apparel store. Is responsible for assisting in daily operation of the stores including inventory, employee supervision and customer service. Executes job expectations in a manner that meets financial targets, creates positive guest experiences and fosters a productive and enjoyable working environment.

Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility
1.    Responsible for ensuring Retail Associates deliver excellent customer service.
2.    Monitors cashier adherence to daily accounting policies and theft control procedures.
3.    Works with supervisors to maintain store cleanliness and maintenance by enforcing daily cashier tasks and procedures.
4.    Performs other tasks as assigned by the Store Manager and Retail Administration.  
5.    Responsible for the accuracy of the store's inventory control. Conducts monthly and quarterly inventories.  Specific daily tasks include checking internet orders, printing restock reports and fulfilling them, checking in merchandise, reviewing receivers for any errors, submitting reorders and investigating weekly open retail reports.  
6.    Trains all store employees and supervisors in inventory related tasks.
7.    Performs cashiering and stocking.
8.    Travel: Occasional trips to Salt Lake Valley.

1.    Direct and continuous contact with guests.
2.    Direct and continuous contact with co-workers, management and other departments.
3.    Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.

Education & Experience Requirements
1  College degree in related field preferred.  Additional related work experience may be substituted for education.
2.  2-4 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.

Specific Requirements:
1  Must be at least 21 years of age.

Skills & Knowledge
Technical:    
Candidate must be proficient in reading, writing and arithmetic with accuracy in counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.  
Must have knowledge of, or the ability to learn, Stratton Warren, Win Retail, XStore and other management systems.
The position requires intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
Must have the ability to handle, process, maintain and protect guest personal information, including credit card information, in compliance with all company or department policies and procedures according to PCI rules and requirements. This includes privacy and confidentiality, reporting, storage and disposal of sensitive information.  Will not share or disclose any guest personal or financial information to anyone unless authorized by the guest, manager or company or unless disclosure is permitted within departmental policies and procedures.

Administrative:    
This position requires knowledge and understanding of PCI DSS, including the safe and secure handling and maintenance of personal, financial and credit card information of guests/customers.
Exercise judgment in accordance with company and department policies and procedures.
Multi-task and prioritize work activities to complete required tasks in a timely manner.
Delegate tasks to Shift Supervisors and Retail Cashiers.

Working Conditions
Work Schedule:
1  Shifts vary, may be early morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels.
2.  Specific Shift: Will be scheduled  for various shifts between the hours of 12:00 pm-9:00 pm.
Mental:
1.  Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
2.  May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
Physical:
1.  Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
2.  Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
3.  Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
4.  Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.
