Job Description

 

The Sr. Director of Development is a senior leader with responsibility for managing the rapidly growing India CoE that work across the Company's diverse set of enterprise software product lines. This role will be based in our Bangalore COE. This person is a key member of the R&D senior leadership team and a key contributor to achieving the company’s near-term and long-term objectives. The Sr. Director of Development works closely with other leaders in Product Development and Product Management to deliver product solutions that will be highly successful in the marketplace. As head of R&D at CoE (India), the person will be responsible to drive the recruiting, talent development and retention of associates in India. This position will also be Centre Head for India CoE responsible for general management function working closely with the Finance, HR & IT functions and also providing mentorship and guidance to the Customer Solutions team at CoE (India). 

Key Responsibilites

  • Participates with other senior leaders to establish strategic plans and objectives.
  • The role will have budgetary responsibilities
  • The role would take strategic decisions which will have a major impact on business unit or significant impact on organization goals. The impact can be medium term in nature
  • Delivery & execution focus in Product Development, software development process, project and people management
  • Drives the application of principles, theories and concepts and determines the best course of action.
  • Resolves critical and complex issues impacting overall organization direction and results
  • Actively contributes to strategy setting at corporate level.
  • Ability to advise others and manage divergent interests and perspectives
  • Use skill of persuasion in communication and ability to develop effective communication strategy with emphasis on transparency between COE and the rest of the business
  • Work to develop skills and capabilities to meet the need of the organization and promote a performance based culture in CoE. Promote effective and timely employee communications on topics impacting the CoE. Use leadership skills to promote consensus.

Work Experience :
Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 13 years and a Master’s degree. Typical range of experience is 16-20 years.
