The Associate Architect will design, develop, and implement new ideas and products for software applications and solutions. The Associate Architect will be accountable for anticipating and resolving complex problems that impact design of current or developing products. The role will provide technical mentorship for developing software engineers. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

1 Participate in the complete software development life cycle from requirement gathering to deployment of the product.

2 Identify technical requirements and potential improvements and discuss them with the Product Development Manager.

3 Understands the technology stack and design to recommend appropriate software architecture and solutions to complex business problems.

4 Understands the architecture (proposed or an existing one) and use them for low level design/execution.

5 Writes code, completes programming and debugs software applications and solutions. 

6 Contributes to Code Reviews and identify performance bottlenecks.

7 Builds and assembles prototype assimilations of software applications and solutions as directed.

8 Deliver high quality software applications and solutions that are extensible and scalable within the specified timeline.

9 Reviews projects against goals and provides status reports.

10 Write and review documentation needed for installation, usage and maintenance of applications and solutions.

11 Proactively identifies problem areas, troubleshoot complex technical issues and works towards its resolution with team

12 When requested, interface with the product marketing, global services team and Customer/Partners to address issues in the field.

13 Mentors Lead Engineers and Senior Software Engineers.

14 Participate in interviewing and hiring practices as directed and advised by management team

 

 

 

Job Requirements

 

Minimum Education:  B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/M.E

 

Minimum Experience and Skills: 

 

• 8+ years of experience in the software industry.

• Must have 3+ years hands-on, programming ability in Java /J2EE

• 2+ year experience with at least one RDBMS (SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL)

• Must have hands-on experience in developing web based applications 

• 2+ year experience on Cloud (AWS, Azure) preferred

• Working knowledge on Weblogic, JBOSS, Apache web server preferred.

• Good knowledge and working experience of large variety of multi-tier architectures and awareness of architectural and design pitfall

• Must be able to analyze existing design and update it or design new components

• Must be able to troubleshoot performance issues.

• Must be proficient in development environments, debugging tools and source control systems.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Able to cultivate interpersonal Customer/Partner relationships and cohesive team interactions and communications.
