The Tax Senior will report to the Senior Tax Manager.  The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support for a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the integrity and operational effectiveness of the tax function. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, a collaborative work ethic, and ability to identify and drive process improvement.

  • Work with the Senior Tax Manager to help identify and implement process improvements within the federal, state and international tax accounting and compliance environments to streamline processes.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Global tax provision.
  • Work with external tax advisors and other members of the tax department to develop accurate work papers for domestic federal and state income tax returns; including Canada.
  • Supporting company positions in tax audits and participating in tax planning projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of North America fixed assets.
  • Other projects as requested.




Skills/Requirements

Qualifications

  • A degree in accounting and 3+ years of related work experience; CPA required. MST or MBA desirable.
  • A motivated strategic thinker with strong organizational and project management skills and proven problem solving and decision making capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret and apply government regulations and related technical requirements to global business scenarios.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to influence others.
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment as well as independently, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills: experience working across multiple levels, functions and regions; able to communicate complex issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience in Public Accounting is required.  Industry experience is a plus.
