Reporting to the VP-Corporate Controller, the Financial Systems Manager provides leadership over the financial systems in the Finance Department, including SAP and BPC software packages. This role will act as the main liaison for the Finance Department with IT Department and will oversee and manage the Finance Department IT projects.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as the Finance System Administrator for SAP and BPC software. Must have strong SAP knowledge (preferably an SAP super user) and working knowledge of report writing in BPC.
Experience working in a an accounting and finance role. Good working knowledge of financial accounting (eg: journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting consolidations, budgeting and forecasting)
Act as Project Manager and overseer on main Finance Department systems projects. This will include sometimes managing the projects directly or act as support person who will manage and monitor timeline/budgets for Finance Department systems projectss
Act as the primary liaison between the Finance Department and IT Department
Troubleshoot and provide technical support, training and solutions to Finance Department users
Assist to develop automated processes to support more efficient data processing
Develop enhance Excel and PowerPoint capabilities (eg: automated reports)
Become knowledgable and support person for other key IT systems in Finance Department (eg: ADP, Concur, Salesforce, Xactly, Adaptive Planning, etc)
Skills/Requirements
BA in Finance and/or Accounting
SAP Super User
8+ years experience
Strong systems implementation experience
Fundamental knowledge of finance and accounting
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Public company experience working in a Sarbanes Oxley environment preferred
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Experience with Concur, BPC/Hyperion preferred
Experience working in life sciences industry and related compliance activities (eg: Sunshine Act) desired
International business experience desired
