The Associate Manager is responsible to supervise the day-to-day work of lower level individual contributors. S/he should have professional qualifications with many years of work experience and specialized knowledge of work area. S/he is treated as point contact by the junior team members and should provide inputs on appraisals, feedback to employees and handling work allocations. S/he is responsible for coaching, guiding and mentoring junior members in the team to help them scale up faster.





Skills/Requirements

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervises day-to-day work of individual contributors, manages work allocation, give input for setting team objectives.
  • Ensures training and development of team; serves as point of contact for junior team members.
  • Ability to manage one product team, provide input on appraisals, handle work allocation.
  • Excellent product management skills, ensures product delivery schedule adherence, reporting skills.
  • Ability to mentor team to follow process and adhere to standard guidelines, good knowledge of process and policies of company.
  • Acts as coach for junior members on process and procedures, relation building teams, ability to resolve team grievances.
  • Good knowledge of Project Management, Estimation, Customer Management, Capacity Planning, Stakeholder Management, Release.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures, determines a course of action based on these guidelines. 
  • Works on developing his/her people management skills.
  • Serves as point of contact within or outside the company to provide or obtain information on specific projects and/or operations.

Education

Bachelor's degree Preferred

Master's Degree, or PhD Preferred

Work Experience:

Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 5 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 4 years' experience; or equivalent experience. Typical range is 7-10 years.

  • 7+ years of relevant experience, with a background in .Net development.
  • Experience leading a highly technical team to ensure product delivery timelines are met.  
  • Experience with .Net/C# technologies is required. 
  • Experience with enterprise level software development in the manufacturing segment is preferred. 
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies preferred.

Skill and Abilities:

  • Good decision making and team management skills.
  • Team motivation and role model for junior members of team.
  • Ability to represent product team.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Ability to work with Global teams at different time zones.
