The Facilities Sourcing Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Senior Manager, Global Facilities and Procurement as well as Aptean’s global Facilities and Procurement teams.
Primary responsibilities include the following: · Support the Preferred Supplier Programs focused on spend categories by understanding and leveraging spend, standardizing products/services and optimizing the supply base. · Assist in identification of FM commodity spend categories or suppliers to pursue implementation into Preferred Supplier Program. · Support the FM Global platform related to the standardization of policies and procedures consolidate vendors, case studies and address any needs or deficiencies. · Participate in cross-functional team efforts to develop and execute sourcing initiatives that balance cost and quality. · Ensure contracting and procurement standards are maintained throughout the portfolio.
As Aptean is highly acquisitive and the number of office locations will naturally increase, which provides an opportunity to the Facilities Sourcing Specialist to work collaboratively across the company and assist in driving optimized utilization. |

Scope Knowledge: A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position. Complexity: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise. Supervision: Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Education Bachelor's degree required Work Experience (Indicate the approximate years of relevant work experience necessary for this position) 3-5 years strategic sourcing experience with a global knowledge. Prior experience with office build-outs, closures, and relocations preferred. Experience running a Procurement function preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities · Proven negotiation and facilitation skills · Proven ability to deliver results in challenging environments · Excellent PC skills, proficient in MS applications · Good understanding of typical commercial office space and real estate leases structures · Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) · Excellent Inter-personal skills, organization skills · Strong analytical ability · Ability to participate and work in decentralized environment. · Hands-on role requiring the individual to be a self-starter. The ability to take direction and work within set parameters. · Expertise in sourcing with demonstrated ability to manage change · Success implementing multiple new procurement strategies across a diverse geography · Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities · Financial oriented with a solid knowledge of business financial concepts · Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment · Excellent written and oral communications skills with the ability to create effective documentation and present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language · Self-motivated and directed. Established organizational abilities · Keen attention to detail · Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment · Must be able to maintain confidentiality with respect to information concerning unannounced acquisitions and personnel discussions.
