On behalf of North Carolina’s Division of Medical Assistance, Liberty Healthcare conducts assessments and needs-based eligibility determinations for all North Carolinians who are applying for Medicaid-funded personal care services. Each year, Liberty Healthcare conducts approximately fifty-five thousand home visits and assessments.

A full-time “Request Processor” position is currently available with Liberty Healthcare. This position will be responsible for processing physician referral requests for personal care services.

The specific responsibilities associated with this position will include:

  • Processes physician referral requests for PCS services including receipt by FAX and electronic submission, reviewing for completeness, entering the data into the database and sending out notifications to recipients and providers
  • Sends technical denials, change of provider notifications, and adverse decision notices to the referring physicians, recipients and providers as well as reviews and accepts provider Plans of Care.
  • Adheres to procedures and performance criteria, including time frames for completion of tasks
  • Participates in the training program specific to the PCS referral process and post-assessment notification process
  • Completes annual/biannual web-based training as required by Liberty
  • Assures contract compliance by delivering quality services and meeting all contractual, legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to his/her role
  • Proactively anticipates and prevents problems that could result in customer dissatisfaction or failure to deliver contracted services
  • Responsible to recognize risk and implement plans to control and avoid such risk
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is based in a call center located at Liberty Healthcare Corporation of North Carolina’s headquarters at 5540 Centerview Drive in Raleigh, NC.





Skills/Requirements

Well-qualified candidates for this position will possess the following:

  • Minimum of a high school degree;  Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Possesses good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong orientation to customer service
  • Must be able to work in fast paced environment
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
