Under the direction of Gritts Store Manager
Performs and prepares daily activities of the deli, which consists of high volume food production, food quality control and presentation, menu development, personnel performance and management, insuring sanitation & cleanliness standards. Prepares food orders in delicatessen. Stocks and cleans delicatessen and other store areas.

Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility
1. Takes orders from customers and prepares sandwiches, soups, or salads to order. Assembles meats, condiments and cheeses in sandwiches. Wraps or packages food orders to carry out. Tallies food prices and marks packages accordingly. Prepares special orders for customer when possible.
2. Prepares ingredients for making sandwiches and salads. Uses deli slicer to slice meats and cheeses. Washes and cuts lettuce, tomatoes, sprouts and other condiments for sandwiches. Prepares salads and hot foods according to standard deli recipes.
3. Cleans deli area. Wipes counters, washes utensils, etc. Stocks meats, cheeses, lettuce, rolls, bread and other foods in deli as necessary. Sweeps and mops floor around deli area. May assist in stocking shelves in store.
4. May assist in stocking shelves in store.
5. Follows safe practices on the job or while on Snowbird property and abides by all rules and regulations. Reports safety hazards or concerns to supervisor or s soon as possible. Operates the deli slicer with safety in mind.

3. Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.

Education & Experience Requirements
1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Specific Requirements:
1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Food Handler Permit

Skills & Knowledge
Technical:
Requires knowledge for using a slicer, toaster, point of sale cash register and scale.  Cleans slicer, counters and deli cases.Ability to handle, process, maintain and protect guest personal information, including credit card information, in compliance with all company or department policies and procedures according to PCI rules and requirements. This includes privacy and confidentiality, reporting, storage and disposal of sensitive information.  Will not share or disclose any guest personal or financial information to anyone unless authorized by the guest, manager or company or unless disclosure is permitted within departmental policies and procedures.

Administrative:
Ensure a clean, safe work environment.  Corporate in grooming and uniform standards to maintain the professionalism of the deli. Knowledge and understanding of PCI DSS, including the safe and secure handling and maintenance of personal, financial and credit card information of guests/customers.

Work Schedule:
1. Shifts vary, may be early morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels.
2. Specific Shift: Deli hours of operation 8:00am to 6:00pm     

Mental:
1. Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
2. May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.

Physical:
1. Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
2. Must be able to carry trays and other items needed for service.
3. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
4. Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
5. Work is routine in pleasant, comfortable surroundings.  General office conditions prevail.  Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.
