Purpose:
Under the direction of Concierge Manager
Answers questions, makes copies and faxes information for resort guests.  Makes reservations, upon request, for dinner, transportation, special events, concerts, tours, etc.  Provides information regarding the resort and surrounding area.

Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility
1. Greet owners and guests.
2. Answer the telephone and relay calls to the appropriate party courteously and efficiently.
3. Anticipate and meet guests’ needs. Respond to guests’ requests for reservations.
4. Have an insatiable desire to attain the highest levels of quality and cleanliness in all areas of the hotel.
5. Inform guests of hotel services, features and room amenities.
6. Travel: None

Interactions
1. Direct and continuous contact with guests.
2. Direct and continuous contact with co-workers, management, and other departments.
3. Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.

Education & Experience Requirements
1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. 3-6 months of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.

Specific Requirements:
1. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Skills & Knowledge
Technical: 
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills with guests and co-workers. Excellent telephone etiquette.
- Use of simple arithmetic with accuracy. 
- Task-specific training, including computer and typing skills. Computer literate with a typing speed of at least 40 w.p.m.

Administrative: 
- Must be reliable, mature and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate good phone and organizational skills.
- Requires some exercise of judgment within policy guidelines and without supervisory approval.
- Requires some problem solving and initiation of activities within job description and responsibility limitations.

Working Conditions
Work Schedule:
1. Shifts vary, may be early morning or late evening, weekends and/or holidays, depending on business levels. Must be able to work any day of the week between 7 a.m. - 11 p.m.
2. Specific Shift: 7 a.m. - 3 p.m. or 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. 

Mental:
1. Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
2. May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.

Physical:
1. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
2. Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
3. General office environment with limited physical activity.
4. Work is routine in pleasant, comfortable surroundings.  General office conditions prevail. 
5. Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult.
Other/Additional: Position requires an outgoing and friendly personality. Demonstrate patience in stressful situations.  Needs the ability to make decisions quickly on guest and employee issues.
