Job Description:

As a Lifecycle Electrical Technician, you will conduct and document detailed root-cause failure investigations, provide Engineering support to existing product lines and work closely with our lifecycle engineering team.  


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Use a methodical approach to address internal and external complaints by determining and documenting root cause.
  • Analyze console data to confirm symptom and identify failure mode.
  • Troubleshoot failures to system and subassembly levels.
  • Document the investigation work; provide conclusions and recommendations for corrective actions. 
  • Work alongside engineers to complete complex failure analysis.
  • Work with our suppliers and vendors by timely disposition of non-conforming material and performing failure analysis on failed components and subassemblies.
  • Provide status updates on investigation to senior staff as required.
  • Write test protocols and reports for process/design changes on existing product lines. Execute test protocols.
  • Building and test tools and fixtures used to support engineering and manufacturing activities.
  • Use Six Sigma tools to analyze process trend data or communicate issues based upon a data driven approach.




Skills/Requirements
  • High School diploma and technical certification required. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.  Medical device product development experience preferred.
  • Detailed and methodical approach to failure investigations.
  • Execute tasks in a timely manner with minimal direct supervision.
  • Able to prioritize tasks.
  • Hands-on electrical circuit test and troubleshooting experience of analog, digital, and mixed signal systems.
  • Electromechanical design experience desired.
  • Able to read electronic boards schematics and layouts. Experience with software tools like Orcad schematic capture and PCB layout desired.
  • Ability to Communicate ideas and information clearly and effectively (oral and written).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum of Six Sigma green belt training/certification or equivalent desired.
