Job Description
Rules and regulations: All employees are expected to follow all policies and procedures outlining standards of attendance, appearance, safety and aggressive hospitality. Questions concerning policies, procedures or specific job duties should be brought to the attention of your supervisor or manager.
Specific job prerequisites:
  • Must be pleasant in dealing with guests and co-workers
  • Must be physically capable of performing basic chores
  • Must be able to endure prolonged walking and standing
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
Major areas of duties and responsibilities:
  • Upon arriving, ensure that all kitchen equipment is in proper working condition, cleaned and organized
  • Maintain safety and sanitation standards to provide the employees and guests with a safe environment
  • Maintain proper inventory at all times. The storage room must be stocked on a daily basis. Check with supervisor to maintain expiration dates updated
  • Check quality and freshness of produce for salad bar
  • Follow instructions and/or recipes provided by supervisor
  • Observe lifting procedures
  • Observe cleanliness of kitchen floor at all times, mopping and sweeping
  • Observe safety procedures at all times
  • Perform all reasonable tasks assigned by management
Job safety:
  • Be attentive to any object, condition or substance that might cause injury to a guest or fellow employee
  • All safety rules to be adhered to
 
NOTE: This restaurant operates seven days a week. Because of the nature of the business, employees may be asked to work different hours or perform special duties based on the demands of the guests and the business, so flexibility is required. Fogo de Chao works on a “Merit Increase” pay adjustment policy.
