Abiomed is seeking a DevOps Engineer to provide infrastructure architecture and DevOps engineering to support our engineering teams. DevOps is a critical component to the highly collaborative Abiomed engineering team. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the development team with a Continuous Integration infrastructure
Install, monitor and maintain the engineering infrastructure including git, Jenkins and Nexus
Install, monitor and maintain the development infrastructure including JIRA, Confluence, Jama
Install, monitor and maintain development toolsets including IDE’s, compilers, Static and Dynamic analysis toolsets.
Recommend strategies for improvement and growth.
Skills/Requirements
Software development background in C, C++ and scripting in perl, python, ruby
Expertise in git, Jenkins and Nexus.
Understanding of agile software development methodologies; working alongside multiple Agile development teams
Experience with Linux System and network administration including Active Directory integration.
Exposure to Windows system administration
2- 5 years as a software developer and 1 year as a DevOps engineer, or a role where you were designing, planning, and leading software development infrastructure growth.
Experience with virtualization, automation and/or cloud orchestration tools like Chef, Puppet
Experience with QNX and Momentics is a plus
Experience in regulated industries like Medical Devices is a plus
