Job Description

 

Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia, is seeking qualified candidates for a Federal Work Study - Clerical Assistant serving the Athens campus.

The Clerical Assistant is responsible to the administrative assistant for the Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Division, performing a variety of clerical support functions. The Clerical Assistant will function mainly to help foster and promote positive customer service with external customers, in person and by telephone.

The pay for this position is $7.25/hr.

The duties will include but not be limited to the following:

Sort and distribute mail

Check and restock printers

Empty shredder and recycling bins

Maintain supplies in adjunct workrooms

Answer phones

Greet visitors

Water plants

Run errands

Other office duties as assigned

 

 





Skills/Requirements

 

The successful candidate should:

  • Have experience in Word and Excel, with Publisher and PowerPoint a plus
  • Be able to use the internet
  • Be a team player
  • Have knowledge of campus map a plus

To be eligible for this position, candidates must be a current student registered for at LEAST 6 credit hours AND be receiving Pell money for the current term.
