The Tradeshow and Events Manager will design and execute focused programs to drive brand awareness and tradeshow sales leads. The Tradeshow and Events Manager will create and generate leads at over 100 Corporate-managed events throughout the year. This challenging role calls for a broad range of capabilities, as you will manage the shows from set-up to breakdown, including driving strategy, messaging, logistics, creative, budgeting, travel, accommodations, and more.
Reporting to our Sr. Director of Professional Education, you'll assume leadership of the trade show schedule. You will be professional with progressive and demonstrated success in coordinating and executing all aspects of trade shows, from developing show strategy to clarifying the message to ensuring that the right number of power strips is on hand. The successful candidate will need a dynamic personality and a proven ability to coordinate among multiple internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including managing expectations, providing solutions, and balancing a collaborative approach with the right measure of assertiveness and diplomacy.
Responsibilities:
Develop tradeshow strategy and develop attendee qualifications
Plan, manage and execute company annual meeting
Plan, coordinate and execute all corporate events and tradeshows and assign objectives and deliverables
Hire, manage and lead the Tradeshow and Event staff of two, growing the group when needed
Lead, design and analyze marketing program campaigns on SFDC
Analyze Salesforce data, trends and reports
Manage vendors to arrange space, literature, hotels, equipment rental, and set-up and dismantling of the exhibit; and planning and coordinating the routing of exhibits shipped for the events
Support marketing communications efforts as required
Plan and implement event symposia and customer receptions
Manage the coordination and logistics for all events such as travel, ground transportation, hotel, food
Skills/Requirements
Qualifications:
BA in Marketing or related degree required, advanced degree preferred
Strong knowledge of and experience in event management in the Cardiology space with outstanding project management skills
10 years’ experience in meetings and conventions; including trade shows, and customer lead tracking preferably in the field of Interventional Cardiology
Experience managing various sized exhibits
Experience managing trade shows within a highly regulated environment
The ability to manage workloads and prioritize requests to meet deadlines
A proactive approach to working with internal customers effectively
Strong problem solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently and with minimum direction
Robust attention to the details without losing sight of the big picture
A current global passport (can obtain when hired)
Excellent Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word skills and SFDC experience
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
A desire to travel 60% primarily domestically
