Job Description

 
Assists guests with luggage and transportation needs.  Monitors bell storage.  Shuttles guests around resort in company vehicles.  Parks and retrieves guests’ vehicles, answers guests’ questions, and directs traffic.  Provides courteous and high quality service to guests.

Interactions
Guest Contact:
-    Direct and continuous.
-    Frequent guest contact is required.
-    Must interact with guests and owners directly to insure that requests are granted to guest satisfaction.

Internal Contacts:
-    Contact with co-workers, supervisors, management, and staff from other departments.
-    Position requires a high level of internal contact, must work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance staff.

External Contacts:
-    Little to no external contact.

Supervision/Management:
-    Generally no supervisory requirements.

Minimum Requirements
Education:
-    High school diploma or equivalent skills.

Experience:
-    Four to six months job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.  
-    Public relations or hospitality training helpful.

Specific Requirements:
-    Must be at least 21 years of age.
-    Must have a valid Utah drivers' license and proof of a good driving record from the department of motor vehicles.
-    Must have great customer service skills, neat appearance, and mature attitude.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
Interactive Competencies:
-    Able to interact with guests and customers of the resort in a friendly and accommodating manner.
-    Able to relate well to coworkers and others in sometimes unstructured situations.

Technical Competencies:
-    Able to read, write and communicate through speech.
-    Able to use arithmetic with accuracy in counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.

Administrative Competencies:
-    Must be reliable, mature and able to work with minimal supervision.
-    Requires some exercise of judgment within policy guidelines and without supervisory approval.
-    Requires some problem solving and initiation of activities within job description and responsibility limitations.
-    Requires strong understanding of other Snowbird operations.

Working Conditions
Working Hours:
-    Must be available Friday, Saturday, Sunday, flexible schedule between 7AM – 11PM.  
-    Weekend and holiday work required.
-    May need to stay overnight on occasion

Physical Conditions:
-    Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult.  
-    Frequent exposure to cold, heat, weather or noise.
-    Able to lift 75 pounds frequently and to stand for long periods.

Mental Conditions:     
-    Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult.
-    May experience some stress due to periodic guest relations, also during high occupancy periods.
-    Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
-    Position requires an outgoing and friendly personality.
-    Must have the ability to work in a flexible and high volume environment.
-    Needs the ability to make decisions quickly on guest and employee issues.
-    May experience stress due to consistent high occupancy levels and weather-related conditions that exist at Snowbird.

Travel:
-    Travel in and around the building is required.  
-    May require travel between various buildings at Snowbird.
