JOB DESCRIPTION

If you are a forward thinking downstream marketer and want to make a significant impact on Abiomed’s ability to market the world’s smallest heart pump then we want to hear from you. The ideal client will have strong writing and verbal communication skills and be able to work effectively in cross functional teams and independently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Cardiovascular Downstream Marketing Manager you will drive to:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the cardiovascular market landscape: market trends, customer priorities, and competitive landscape to shape our go to market approach
  • Develop and implement product launch strategy, including analyzing market research and sales analytics, ideating messaging, developing sales tools, and creating best in class marketing initiatives to drive sales
  • Partner with sales team to define and implement effective targeting, develop physician champions, and gather input to drive marketing decisions 




Skills/Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree required, Masters degree highly preferred
  • 5+ years medical device marketing experience
  • At least 2 years experience in a cardiovascular medical device company
  • Proven aptitude for determining  the optimal way to position products in the market
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and project management skills are critical to success
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment with a sense of urgency
  • Willingness to “roll up sleeves” to perform at all levels and assist in areas outside of core responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; presentation will be part of the interview process
