Job Description
<p> The CAD/PDM/PLM Systems Administrator will support engineering tools and process automation by collaborating with teams responsible for working with Product Data Management (PDM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and CAD systems. Responsibilities will include engineering systems support, engineering application development and testing, and deployment of engineering workflow.</p> <p> &nbsp;</p> <p> <strong>Principle Duties and Responsibilities</strong>:</p> <ul> <li> Responsible for the support of the SolidWorks PDM Professional (formerly ePDM) and SolidWorks CAD</li> <li> Support, enhance, develop CAD/PDM/PLM toolsets and workflows</li> <li> Diagnose and solve a range of issues, including, but not limited to: software deployment, platform interoperability, PDM and PLM systems, Microsoft SQL, migration strategies, installation and licensing, and software performance</li> <li> Provide expert knowledge of Solidworks vault configuration and data management</li> <li> Security administration of new user or group permissions</li> <li> Manage vault configuration (setup, folders, moving/deleting/rollback of vault files)</li> <li> Meta-data and systems configuration management (data cards, search, system variables, etc.)</li> <li> Review license usage and needs to support all users</li> <li> Promote use of existing CAD/CAM/PDM/PLM/FEA Software and best practices</li> <li> Documentation and standards governance as well as creation of needed SOPs and Guidelines</li> </ul>



Skills/Requirements
<ul>
<li>
Prior experience with Solidworks/CAD&nbsp;Enterprise Product Data Management (ePDM)</li>
<li>
Data migration, including import, export, and data mapping</li>
<li>
Ability to seek, evaluate, and compare appropriate new software; build and deliver business cases to purchase and deploy new software</li>
<li>
System Administration (troubleshooting software, OS, basic network connection issues, PDM configuration)</li>
<li>
Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and nontechnical terms</li>
<li>
Ability to work independently and /or within a collaborative team structure</li>

<p>
<strong>Education:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree preferred or equivalent experience; Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) preferred</li>
<li>
5+ years of experience in System Admin /Software Development role, with focus on Engineering tools</li>
<li>
A Plus: Certifications (Certified Enterprise PDM Administrator CEPA/Certified SolidWorks CSWE)</li>
