Job Description

The Project Manager has overall responsibility for managing the content, structure and consistency of Abiomed's training, education, certifications programs, and instructions for product use documents. The Project Manager works with Regulatory, Advanced Clinical Training & Support, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: • Works with subject matter experts and key stakeholders to develop objectives for all programs • Manages outside consultants and contractors to accomplish content management objectives • Ensures that all presented materials (IFUs, electronic training, presentations, customer tools, etc.) are up to date and consistent with current product iteration, procedure and technique, and software version • Ensures training and certification materials are consistent with sales and marketing messaging • Designs and implements testing and learning assessment tools • Coordinates development and maintenance of material for online customer training, internal e-learning, field-team training, presentations and customer learning/reference aids • Develops and manages instructions for use manuals for all products and ensures timely language translations as appropriate. • Manages delivery of all final content, in multiple formats, and ensures its appropriately routed for approvals and posted in proper locations • Maintains certification handbooks • Advises Abiomed teams on best practice recommendations to promote learning and retention across a wide range of audiences and programs





Skills/Requirements

•BA/BS degree, preferably in a technical discipline, i.e. Engineering. •5-years experience with technical publications in a regulated product development environment as an instructional designer or technical writer,preferably in the cardiovascular medical device industry •Demonstrated strong project management skills and multi-tasking capabilities •Strong writing skills and demonstrated attention to detail •Experience with content delivery methodologies including print, web, eLearning and audio/visual presentations •Ability to clearly communicate ideas and information (oral and written) and work collaboratively. •Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Adobe InDesign preferred •Knowledge of Cornerstone On Demand is a plus
