The Director of Strategic Programs (“DSP”) is an extension of the Chief of Staff and office of the CEO, with a primary objective to provide the Chief of Staff and CEO with leverage to improve executive team execution. The DSP receives direction from the Chief of Staff and ensures execution of the same. He or she meets regularly with Executive leaders and provides direction and receives progress updates, which are aggregated and presented in Executive Team and Board meetings. The DSP works behind the scenes to solve problems, mediate disputes, and deal with issues before they are brought to senior leadership. He or she identifies and addresses gaps in company and Executive Team execution before they become internal or external problems. The DSP is a confidante and advisor to the Chief of Staff and CEO, acting as a sounding board for ideas and collaborating on communication, goal-setting, and other cross-functional corporate initiatives that support future growth. The DSP helps coordinate and direct communication by filtering only the most essential communication and working closely with the Chief of Staff and CEO. If you are adept at hard analytical and soft people skills, and able to adapt to rapidly changing business needs, then this job can provide a great deal of personal satisfaction. Strengths in business process assessment, measurement and re-engineering are critical, as is the ability to leverage technology to implement business solutions. The Director of Strategic Programs will interface extensively with Accruent’s senior leadership and board of directors and have the opportunity to learn world class execution practices.
