ERP manufacturing consultants support our customers from the idea and the manufacturing process concepts right through to the IT implementation.  Besides in-depth cross-module system knowledge, this requires business process know-how in particular. The focus is placed on individual production processes (e.g. in recipe, specification and planning design) and on financial processes (recipe and inventory costing).

Depending on prior knowledge and inclination, the consultant should specialize in manufacturing. In addition to a high level of commitment and good communication skills, the ability to work in a team is a must in this job because our solutions are always developed in interaction with colleagues and customers. 

Irrespective of whether a project involves the introduction of a new system or the enhancement of an existing one, communication with customers is particularly important during the conception phase. This is why most of the work is performed on site, even though we may have remote access to many customer systems. For successful implementations, 50-70% travel should be anticipated within the North American region.

Job responsibilities:

Possess the foundation of knowledge about the software modules to be implemented.  Possess the foundation of business processes for the Manufacturing Processes in a process manufacturing environment.  Provide his/her expert opinion regarding a particular subject in a project.  A successful candidate will be able to solve a problem with a neutral view point.   Use the capabilities of the software system and configure to the system to meet the customer’s requirements.

Required Experience:

Total years of experience required to work as an implementation consultant is usually 1 -5 years in particular modules of the software.  This includes understanding the minute details of various functions and operations that are involved in a particular field.  

Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
• Good technical an problem solving skills.  Programming not required, but helpful.
• Ability to identify problems, evaluation of the conditions, finding solutions, preparing estimates and project tasks.
• Good problem determination skills, not only with software, but with business processes at the customer.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach to deal with top management personnel and end users.
• Patient attitude to deal with the problems faced on the project either with the customer or the software.   Positive attitude he/she can suggest feasible solutions to solve the problem.
• Readiness to work around the clock and easiness in traveling.
