Job Description

$14/hr

To pick up and deliver merchandise from/to Salt Lake County area vendors and to deliver merchandise to Snowbird in order to meet the product needs of Snowbird business units.

Interactions
Guest Contact: Infrequent
Internal Contacts: Co-workers and manage and the employees and managers of department needing supplies.
External Contacts:  Vendors and warehouse/shipping personnel of vendors  

Minimum Requirements
Education:  High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:  Minimum of 6 months good work history as a delivery driver or one year of warehouse shipping and receiving experience.
Specific Requirements: Valid Commercial Drivers License and good driving record, or ability to obtain CDL within 60 days of hire.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities
Interactive Competencies: Basic competency in reading, writing, speaking, and interpersonal relations.
Technical Competencies:  Excellent driving skills with large delivery trucks and vans, preferably with experience operating vehicles with airbrakes. Simple arithmetic skills, ability to organize paperwork and documentation..
Administrative Competencies: Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks. Understanding of work safety. Knowledge of safe driving practices and DOT driving regulations.

Working Conditions
Working Hours: Variable work shifts including weekends and holidays, early mornings and evenings.  
Physical Conditions: Warehouse and loading dock environment, with exposure to various safety hazards.  Work requires frequent lifting, carryings and moving of various stores and supplies up to 100 lbs. Driving  to and from the resort and within Salt Lake County during adverse weather and road conditions and heavy traffic. Continuous bending and stooping.   
Mental Conditions: Stress from deadlines and demands for supplies and need to receive and distribute supplies quickly and accurately.
Travel: N/A

Function / Area of Responsibility
1. Drive large deliver vehicle to and from resort and within the Salt Lake City area to pick up ordered merchandise from vendors and Snowbird facilities in order to meet delivery schedules of resort departments. Also return merchandise back to vendors and pick up and drop off Snowbird equipment to repair shops within Salt Lake City as requested by departments.            
2. Make daily deliveries to departments throughout the resort, loading and unloading merchandise and checking against the invoices in order to accurately and in a timely manner meet the department need. Also may process order invoices, requisition forms and petty cash.             
3. Help load and unload truck in order to make deliveries and sort’s inventory for delivery in order to meet department needs and delivery schedule. Obtains signatures on requisition forms and delivers them to supervisor or buyer in order properly document order fulfillment.             
4. Conduct daily truck inspections, perform light maintenance and clean delivery truck in order to assure safety of vehicle and image of resort.            
5. Follow all safety procedures and practices in order to maintain a safe working environment and protect to safety of co-workers, self and resort equipment, supplies and property.            
6. Perform light cleaning and maintenance within the commissary (i.e. sweeps floors, straightens shelves, etc. in order to provide and safe and orderly work area.            
7. May operate forklift or pallet-jack to assist warehouse laborers in order meet receiving and delivery schedules and work requirements of departments and commissary...            
8. Other duties as assigned in order to meet the work needs of the commissary and resort departments.
