EXPERIENCE: 3-6 Years as Unix Administrator ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Good Understanding of Solaris Containers (Solaris Zone pools) - Implementation of operating system-level virtualization technology (Solaris – zones) • Installing and managing Unix OS, VM’s (AIX, Solaris, HP) , • Good Understanding of Unix OS Internals • Installing and managing Databases on Unix Machines (Oracle, Sybase) etc. • Mount/Map Folders in Solaris container (Zone pools) environments • Back-up and restore machines • Understanding of Disaster Recovery mechanism • Ability to Run and Manage OS and software updates and Patches • Understanding of Unix Shell Scripting • User/Profile management • Setting up CRON Jobs • Installing and managing compilers • Network management on Unix Cluster (Ex Solaris Zone Pools) Nice to Have • Oracle Enterprise manager – Unix environment • Samba (mapping tool)
