Job Description

*$10.25+Booking Commission

Purpose:
Under the direction of Central Reservations Management Team.
Accept inbound calls,  process reservations for Snowbird lodges, gives information by telephone and email concerning rates, availability, resort activites and facilities, general area information.

Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility:
1. Responds to telephone & email requests from customers for reservations.
2. Provides information about rates/package options, payments, cancellation policies, resort facilities, etc.
3. Up sells ground transportation, trip insurance, spa, dinner reservations, activities and Mountain School lessons to all guests.
4. Enters reservation information in the computer system and charges credit cards at time of booking.  Responsible for finalizing all records.
5. Revises reservation records and document changes to keep records current.
6. Additional projects and duties as assigned that assist in meeting the overall department goals.

Interactions:
1. Direct and continuous contact with guests.
2. Direct and continuous contact with co-workers, management, and other departments.
3. Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.


Education & Experience Requirements:
1.  High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. 1-2 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.

Skills & Knowledge
Technical:          
Requires ability to operate computer, typing speed of 30 w.p.m., operate 10-key calculator.Must have the ability to handle, process, maintain and protect guest personal information, including credit card information, in compliance with all company or department policies and procedures according to PCI rules and requirements. This includes privacy and confidentiality, reporting, storage and disposal of sensitive information.  Will not share or disclose any guest personal or financial information to anyone unless authorized by the guest, manager or company or unless disclosure is permitted within departmental policies and procedures.

Administrative:               
This position requires knowledge and understanding of PCI DSS, including the safe and secure handling and maintenance of personal, financial and credit card information of guests/customers.Requires some exercise of judgment within policy guidelines and without supervisory approval.  Must be able to coordinate several duties at one time and deal effectively with the caller.


Work Schedule:
Specific Shift: Operation hours 7am - 9pm m-f, 8am - 8pm Sat and Sunday-

Physical:
General office environment with limited physical activity.
Work is routine in pleasant, comfortable surroundings.  General office conditions prevail.

Other/Additional:  Job activities consist of related steps, processes, or methods.  Decisions are made from various choices available.  Requires the ability to discern between simple situations and apply alternatives.  Must be able to take action according to basic criteria, such as sources of information, type of transactions, or other factual differences. Additional knowledge of PARs/SMS Host and Spa Soft  preferred but not required.
