Job Description

Purpose
Under the direction of  the Marketing Director and Marketing Manager
Works with Marketing Team to ensure day-to-day office needs are met, as well as supporting them in their goal to promote and maintain Snowbird's brand.

Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility
1.    Track marketing department budget. This includes maintaining and organizing electronic files for all contracts, insertion orders and marketing agreements. Request production bids from vendors and determine best/most cost effective resource.
2.    Provide tactical project management support on marketing projects including advertising materials, website content, direct mail and collateral materials production.  This includes, but is not limited to, developing project timelines and scheduling calendars, gathering content and input from internal clients, proofreading and overseeing material distribution strategies, and coordinating print jobs with the internal printer.
3.    Organize, track and fulfill comp ticket, lodging requests, including media trade deals.
4.    Track marketing materials inventories, replenish Snowbird Center brochure racks and organize Marketing materials archives.
5.    Fulfill office management responsibilities including, but not limited to, ordering office supplies, maintaining color print/laminating log, and picking-up and delivering items.
6.    Provide support in resort marketing efforts including events and resort signage.
7.    Provide additional project support to the Communications Manager. This includes answering media requests, coordinating reservations for media groups and guiding some on-mountain tours.
8.    Other: Copy Writing and Editing, Photo / Video Shoot Coordination, Database and Photo Management.
9.    Travel: Occasional travel to/from resort.

1.    Occasional contact with guests.
2.    Direct and continuous contact with co-workers, management and other departments.
3.    Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.

Education & Experience Requirements
1.  High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2.  College degree in related field preferred. Additional related work experience may be substituted for education.
3.  1-2 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.

Specific Requirements:
1.  Must be at least 18 years of age.
2.  Must be able to ski or snowboard and have the ability to pass a physical capacity screening.
 

Skills & Knowledge
Technical:    
Computer literacy (Word / Excel / PowerPoint), Excellent English language and  writing skills.
Competent in booking/ accounting.

Administrative:    
 High degree of organization and attention to detail. Self-starter, ambitious, and a multi-tasker. The position requires proficiency in office administration skills, tracking budgets, and the ability to provide tactical project management support on marketing and communications projects. The Marketing Coordinator must be organized, be a good communicator, be able to effectively collaborate with team members and be able organize workflow.  Flexibility and a positive attitude are crucial as this role will be part of a fast paced and dynamic work environment.

Working Conditions
Work Schedule:
1.  Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, with some nights and weekends as required by workload and special events.  
      
Mental:
1.  Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
2.  May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.

Physical:
1.  Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
2.  General office environment with limited physical activity.
3. Other/Additional:  Some outdoor work required (winter).
