Lead team to support IT infrastructure and services at multiple sites. Responsible for all aspects of network, servers, information security, and end user services throughout the organization. Assists in the troubleshooting and resolution of key technical issues. Monitors and drives continuous improvement in service metrics. Analyzes new products and services and provides strategy recommendations. Establishes and implements policies and procedures to support and improve IT operations throughout the organization.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage internal Windows based server infrastructure and handle relationships with outsourced datacenter providers
Manage HP based LAN infrastructure including Fortinet based VPN and Firewall environments across multiple sites
Manage EMC based SAN storage, CommVault backup solutions and other data retention products.
Evaluate and recommend changes to current and future network requirements to meet the organization’s needs.
Develop annual IT Operations budget and track against plan
Ensure that all IT Operations projects are well defined, planned and executed, with strong emphasis on communication and testing.
Responsible for all end user services. Includes computer deployment and support. Also includes printing and conference room infrastructure.
Coach, mentor and develop staff in multiple sites.
Manage and maintain appropriate control reporting for SOX related metrics.
Develop and respond to appropriate service level agreements and metrics.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, systems, networks, and maintain proper change-control.
Skills/Requirements
BA/BS or equivalent experience, with current MCSE, CCNA, and A+ preferred.
Minimum 5 to 7 years experience managing IT operations teams.
Recent hands-on experience troubleshooting recent server and networking technologies
Understanding of key network protocols and systems, such as TCP/IP, NFS, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP, LDAP, and RADIUS.
Exposure to operating in a regulated environment (Sarbanes Oxley, FDA, HIPAA, COBIT, ITIL).
Possess strong analytical troubleshooting skills coupled with a strong sense of urgency.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Strong continuous improvement mindset.
Possess excellent verbal and written skills: ability to present clearly and concisely both through verbal communication to management and end users and through documentation of calls from project plan to system run-book.
Occasional domestic & international travel & on-call rotation required.
