Be confident and independent. Own it.

Proactive in driving projects forward and solving problems.

Strong background in interaction design.

A sharp eye for design. You know great (and not great) user experience when you see it.

Creative, but also organized and efficient. Documentation and communication are key.

Drive the design phase forward. Practice rapid iteration. Move fast.

Team player. Comfortable working side by side with product and development team.

Able to prioritize. Understand the differences between must-haves, great-to-haves, and good-to-haves.

Major Responsibilities:

Conceptualization

Define user experiences from end-to-end

Understand the big picture: what are we trying to accomplish?

Understand the primary use case

Empathy for the first time user: see the UX through their eyes.

Documentation

Develop and maintain bulletproof, clear UX requirements.

Develop design specifications that product managers & developers can easily act upon.

Deliver wireframes for a responsive design environment.

Define implementation details (such as error states).

Scheduling

Understand project timeline and when UX & design requirements will be needed

Track design progress, identify potential issues & impediments

Stay ahead of the development team: specs, designs, and documentation should be waiting for the devs, never the other way around

Coordinate with leadership PMs and dev team throughout project cycle.

Stay involved through the development process to ensure the UX spec finds its way into the final product.

Identify potential problems. Think it through. Provide potential solutions.

Review

Complete thorough reviews on your own work and others’.
