Job Description:

Lead and contribute to Manufacturing development and scale-up by managing manufacturing and construction projects, timelines, and budgets.  Sets the tone for all team members by remaining focused and organized.  Shows a highly responsive attitude and accountability with a strong sense of project ownership.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support manufacturing and supply chain teams through managing multiple projects
  • Develop detailed project plan using Microsoft Project
  • Recruit and indirectly manage staff for timely completion of tasks per plan
  • Initiate and chair key meetings for status updates, design reviews and milestone reviews
  • Write Requirements Documents & Statements of Work
  • Review proposals, design drawings,  and cost estimates
  • Owners representative for construction projects
  • Calculate and report budget and costs
  • Publish program reports (Scorecards)
  • Publish and effectively manage critical issues
  • Meet budget and schedule targets
  • Write and conduct IQ/OQ/PQ/PPQ and Engineering Reports
  • Prepare internal and external reports without direct supervision
  • Draw conclusions from analysis/tests and identify/report implications




Skills/Requirements

Job Qualifications:

  • BS or advanced degree in engineering or scientific discipline, MBA desired
  • 5 or more years of work experience in engineering and as a project leader. Medical device manufacturing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of  clean room design, construction, and monitoring
  • Enjoys working in a production environment and supporting production teams
  • Experience managing multiple projects including overseeing external design partners and contractors
  • Proven track record of turning conceptual ideas into actionable projects and being a problem solver
  • Expert knowledge of manufacturing engineering tasks to complete projects
  • Ability to Communicate ideas and information clearly, effectively, and frequently
  • Execute & prioritizes tasks in a timely manner without direct supervision
  • Knowledge of lean, six sigma, kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of SAP desired
  • Domestic and International travel may be required
  • Fluent in English and German
