Purpose:
Under the direction of  Snowbird Sports Management.
Responsible for repair/maintenance of mountain bikes and scooters as well as sales of hard goods, soft goods, and mountain biking products.

Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility
1.    Maintain bikes and scooters in rental fleet.  
2.    Responsible for repair of customer bikes.
3.    Uses phone, e-mail, and face-to-face interaction dealing with questions regarding the Endless Winter Sale liquidation of soft and hard goods.
4.    Provides service to customers selecting merchandise, ringing up sales, handling returns, giving refunds and addressing customer complaints.
5.    Assists customers with purchasing mountain biking products such as rentals, tickets and clinics.
6.    Assists manager with inventory.
7.    Responsible for a clean and safe shop, for example, straightening merchandise, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
8.    Travel: Occasional travel to/from resort.

1.    Direct and continuous contact with guests.
2.    Direct and continuous contact with co-workers, management and other departments.
3.    Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.

Education & Experience Requirements
1.  High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2.  1-2 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.

Specific Requirements:
1.  Must be at least 18 years of age.

Skills & Knowledge
Technical:    
Strong bike mechanic skills with the ability to work on hydraulic disc and V brakes, truing wheels, and replacing parts etc. Knowledge about Snowbird and everything that we offer. Must be able to operate cash register (Siriusware Program), and answer e-mails and phone calls. Demonstrated competence in mountain bike, ski and snowboard industry knowledge and sales. Is responsible for selling retail and used hard goods especially demo skis and snowboards, along with winter soft goods. Experience with sales, rental and repair in the bicycle and ski/ snowboard industries, in a retail environment preferred.
Must have the ability to handle, process, maintain and protect guest personal information, including credit card information, in compliance with all company or department policies and procedures according to PCI rules and requirements. This includes privacy and confidentiality, reporting, storage and disposal of sensitive information.  Will not share or disclose any guest personal or financial information to anyone unless authorized by the guest, manager or company or unless disclosure is permitted within departmental policies and procedures.

Administrative:    
This position requires knowledge and understanding of PCI DSS, including the safe and secure handling and maintenance of personal, financial and credit card information of guests/customers.
Self-management, decision-making, organizing and planning, multi-tasking, etc. Precise record-keeping of bike maintenance.

Working Conditions
Work Schedule:
1.  Shifts vary, may be early morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels.
 
Mental:
1.  May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.

Physical:
1.  Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
2.  Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
3.  Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
4.  Work is subject to frequent interruptions making continuity and accuracy difficult, frequent exposure to noise.
