Job Description

$9.25+DOE

Purpose:
Under the direction of  the Restaurant Manager.
Responsible for coordinating individual station and communicating with front and back of house personnel to provide a quick service experience that exceeds guest expectations.  

Position Functions / Areas of Responsibility
1.    Reports to work on time in the proper uniform. Obeys all company rules and regulations.
2.    Greets guests and employs suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience and to increase company revenues.
3.    Meets all guest needs during the course of the transaction in order to achieve a positive experience.
4.    Ensures standards of appearance and sanitation are maintained on a daily basis. Maintains good safety practices of employees and guests throughout the property. Follows state policies and regulations for serving alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner.
5.    Obtains bank and is responsible for all financial transactions occurring within the restaurant.
6.    Maintains line of communication between Restaurant Manager and Kitchen.
7.    Travel: None

Interactions
1.    Direct and continuous contact with guests.
2.    Direct and continuous contact with co-workers, management and other departments.
3.    Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird.

Education & Experience Requirements
1.  High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
2.  0-6 months of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence.

Specific Requirements:
1.  Must be at least 21 years of age.
2.  Food Handler Permit, Tips Certification

Skills & Knowledge
Technical:    
Must demonstrate competency in reading, writing and arithmetic with accuracy in math. Must be able to learn menus, be proficient in handling large sums of money, and demonstrate ability to multi-task, e.g., ring several checks at once or serve several guests at once while maintaining interactions between other staff and guests.
Ability to handle, process, maintain and protect guest personal information, including credit card information, in compliance with all company or department policies and procedures according to PCI rules and requirements. This includes privacy and confidentiality, reporting, storage and disposal of sensitive information.  Will not share or disclose any guest personal or financial information to anyone unless authorized by the guest, manager or company or unless disclosure is permitted within departmental policies and procedures.

Administrative:    
Knowledge and understanding of PCI DSS, including the safe and secure handling and maintenance of personal, financial and credit card information of guest/customers.
Requires some exercise of judgment within policy guidelines and without supervisory approval. Additionally requires problem solving and initiation of activities within job description and as well as a strong understanding of other Snowbird operations.

Working Conditions
Work Schedule:
1.  Shifts vary, may be early morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels.

Mental:
1.  Must be prepared to stay overnight if necessary on occasional times of road closures.
2.  May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.

Physical:
1.  Must be able to lift 25  lbs.
2.  Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
3.  Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
