Wargaming is dedicated to engineering excellence and with continued growth; we have a new opening for an Engineering Manager. This person’s primary focus will be managing our software engineering teams and make recommendations for continuing to improve our processes. We are looking for a talented individual to assist with our growing engineering staff.
Duties:
Manage multiple engineering teams across different geographic locations.
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, planning, and evaluation of the engineering team.
Oversee the creation and approval process of budgets, schedules, and resource planning.
Oversee staff development with regards to hiring, firing, evaluating, training, and motivating employees.
Oversee all areas of product development with regards to staffing the project(s) properly and efficiently.
Skills/Requirements
Key Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
Shipped at least three console\PC titles and a minimum of seven years of game development experience
Experience managing engineering teams of thirty or greater
Minimum six years as engineering lead / manager
Experience working with large scale server based games/products
Experience working with MMO games preferred.
Detailed oriented and self-motivated.
Strong communication skills Strong team management skills
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project
